IIEnet is firmly committed to respecting the privacy of those who use our website. The following policy information is to inform you of how your personal information will be used. Please check back from time to time as this information is subject to change.
Use of website logs
We use website logs to track all hits and include identifying information related to the IP address of the computer accessing the site. However, this does not identify the person.
Information is gathered on site activity, such as how many viewers access the site, the pages they visit, etc. We use this information on an aggregate, anonymous basis, to improve site content. We also may disclose aggregated information (for example, X percent of our viewers visit the career center section) to third parties.
Cookies are used to track click-throughs for our banner ads, but no user identifiable data is stored. Cookies are also used to enable members to login. However the standard system does not specifically keep track of who logs in and when.
Users that submit ads using the online forms must include contact information, which is stored for use related to the ad.
Polls, Surveys and Communications
As a part of our polls and surveys, users may be asked to give an e-mail address. You may choose whether you wish to provide that information. Any information gathered through these polls and surveys is for IIE use only and will not be distributed.
You may receive e-mail or mail messages from us regarding partner companies’ offerings, but only if you have given us permission to do so. We do not disclose your contact details to our partners, and we do not sell your data. You have the option of contacting the other company directly should you wish to explore the opportunity presented.
If you have any questions about IIEnet.org, please contact IIE's Web managing editor, David Brandt.
