Reservations

All guest suites at this beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk hotel offer more space and flexibility, with separate sleeping and living areas, and a wide range of thoughtful amenities. Relax with the two flat screen 32-inch TVs, or keep up with work at the flexible workspace.

A limited number of rooms are available at the conference rate of $175 for a single or double plus applicable state and local taxes. Begin each day with a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, and wind down at the Evening Reception and complimentary HSIA in the guest suites. Breakfast and the reception are served in the Atrium area of the hotel. Guest must present suite key for access. Also, indulge in contemporary European cuisine at the hotel's signature restaurant, Luke.

To receive this special rate, call 1-800 Embassy (1-800-362-2779) to make your reservations. You can also go on line to Embassy Suites Riverwalk and enter the three letter convention/group code: "ENG" under add special rate code to book your reservation or go to personalized group web page. The cutoff date to book reservations is Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, or when the room block is full. Quoted sleeping room rates will be offered, based on availability, two days before and two days after the conference dates.

Guest departing prior to their reserved check-out date will be assessed an early check-out fee of $75 + tax. Guests wishing to avoid an early check-out fee should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

Parking: The Embassy Suites on-site valet parking at $30 + tax per 24 hours with in/out privileges. Event/day parking is $15 without in/out privileges and is based on availability.

San Antonio

San Antonio, an Urban Oasis, is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. San Antonio offers history, culture, entertainment, and more, all in the heart of the city to which the Pasco de Rio (otherwise known as the Riverwalk) a landmark pedestrian promenade lined with cafes and shops.

First-time visitors and lovers of history could spend an entire day in downtown without venturing into the 21st century except to cross the street. The Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission preserved as a museum, marks an infamous 1836 battle for Texan independence from Mexico.

Transportation

East to Get There

By Air - The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes by car. Click here for a variety of ground transportation options.

By Shuttle Service – Shuttle service to the downtown area is $19 one-way or $34 round-trip. Look for the Shuttle Service kiosks in both terminals near baggage claim or book your trip in advance and get a discount - click here.

By Taxi - Traveling with a friend - two to six ride for the price of one. Approximate fares, based on traffic, not including tips, to the downtown business district from the airport range from $25-$29. 

International Travelers: A U.S. visitors (B-1) visa allows a foreign citizen to travel to a port of entry and request admission into the United States from a U.S. immigration inspector. Begin your visa application process as early as possible as it could take several months to process.

The US-VISIT program is now in effect and applies to all visitors (with limited exceptions) holding non-immigrant visas, regardless of country of origin. Visitors will now have their two index fingers scanned and a digital photograph will be taken.

Visitors from Visa Waiver Program countries

For 35 countries in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), citizens meeting the visa waiver criteria will not need a visa but they must have a machine-readable passport. In addition, as of Jan. 12, 2009, travelers visiting the United States from VWP countries must be approved for travel electronically prior to boarding a carrier to the United States. Travelers must fill out the forms online at least 72 hours in advance of travel.

Registration via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is intended to replace the I-94W paper form by collecting biographical information over the Internet from visitors from countries that participate in the VWP.
