Current Chapter President Kevin Drevik

Greetings members of the Delaware Valley’s Industrial Engineering Community!

It's my great honor to have been voted in by the Chapter members to be the chapter President for the 2014 calendar year. I look forward to working with you in the year ahead as we move the professional community forward.

As a member of the IE profession since 1997, I have seen the tremendous need for our training and skills in the various industries that I have worked in. I am constantly being contacted by companies and headhunters, seeking out trained applicants to implement process improvements, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and the latest technology. It's great to be part of a profession that is in demand.

As professional engineers, we are always looking for better ways to get the job done and the newest technological solutions. Your IIE chapter is dedicated to helping present this to you, our members. We’re already off to a good start, with excellent programs, interesting site tours, and exciting opportunities to share and receive information. I look forward to seeing you at some of these events!

In our current economy, the ability of our members to identify and seek out new job opportunities is key – and one of the more valuable services the chapter provides. We maintain an active job board, and post local engineering positions in the newsletter. For those individuals who are actively seeking, we also maintain a list of successful headhunters to whom, with the engineer’s permission, we will send out the resumes for additional sourcing. Please take advantage of this, to better position yourselves in the profession.

The chapter leadership will be communicating with you in the weeks and months ahead, using the website, the newsletter, emails and phone – all with the same focus. We want to continue to serve the Delaware Valley IE community. Please take the opportunity to contact us, and tell us how we can provide even more value for you in your quest for professional excellence.
