Highlights of the IIE Annual Conference and Expo 2009

The 2009 annual conference drew representatives of industry and academia from more than 30 countries. The four days of the conference were filled with a variety of activities: educational sessions, exhibits, meetings, a celebration of 100 years for The Pennsylvania State University industrial engineering program, honors and awards, students in awe of IIE’s leaders, a golf outing and baseball on the Wii.

We are grateful to the sponsors of events and conference necessities such as lanyards, bags and the conference CD. Visit the sponsors page to see a list of these important contributors to the success of the conference.

See the sights of the 2009 conference and expo through the photo album on IIE's official Facebook page to relive the moments and give those who were not able to attend a taste of the energy and excitement as attendees caught up with colleagues, made new acquaintances and took home the latest information and skills in the industrial engineering profession.

This is also the conference where we honor our members and others in the profession for their outstanding achievements and contributions. We have posted the award winners as a way to recognize their accomplishments and congratulate them once again on their accomplishments.

"I can always depend on bringing back at least one 'golden nugget' of information to implement or to share.”
