Volunteer Opportunities
Several important value-added SEMS initiatives are underway, and we need your time and expertise as a volunteer to make things happen.
- Member volunteers are needed as committee members to assist with developing and coordinating SEMS webcasts.
- Another initiative is to promote the certification of engineering management (CEM), which is currently administered by IIE and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. SEMS members are needed to form a subcommittee to oversee the CEM activities.
- Industrial Management is focused on the industry practitioner, therefore, we need member volunteers from industry to support the editor with story ideas and author leads.
- SEMS members are needed to assist with the planning, coordination and hosting of the Enterprise Management Forum, held in conjunction with the IIE Annual Conference and Expo.
Please contact Eileen Van Aken if you are interested in one of these initiatives.
The bylaws outline both the objectives and the operation of the society.
