Recognition Program Awards

The Chapter Activity Report (CAR) is the basis for the Professional Chapter Recognition Program recognizing chapter improvements and progress. The reason for measurement is to evaluate and improve a product or process. The intent of the CAR is to provide a simple measurement system for chapters to recognize and monitor improvement trends.  It is also the basis for awards in the Chapter Recognition Program, providing visibility so that chapters’ accomplishments can be recognized and rewarded.

Chapter excellence is judged by a number of factors, including but not limited to quality of programs, membership growth and retention, participation in volunteer leadership development, student chapter support, and strategic planning. See the CAR manual for more details.

Note: a chapter in red status at the CAR deadline is ineligible for any awards. The maximum award level a chapter in yellow status can attain is a certificate of participation or an award of merit.
