Chapter Visit Program

The Chapter Visit Program assists chapters with their programming by providing partial funding for visits from IIE board members to speak at meetings. The program provides funding for 50 percent of the visiting officer’s expenses, with the chapter providing the other 50 percent.

Officers available for visits:

  • President
  • President-elect
  • Past presidents
  • Senior V.P.-at-large (international)
  • Senior V.P.-at-large (academia)
  • Senior vice president, chapter networking
  • Senior vice president, technical networking
  • Senior vice president, publications
  • Senior vice president, continuing education

The visits are scheduled during IIE’s fiscal year and are reviewed each year at the spring board of trustees meeting. All requests must be submitted by March 15.  If approved, they will be scheduled during that fiscal year (April 1- March 31).

To make your request, contact the IIE membership coordinator by March 15. You will be notified by April 14 if we are able to accommodate your request.

If your chapter misses the deadline, you may contact IIE to request the desired officer but your chapter will have to negotiate scheduling and costs with the officer. IIE can not financially assist after the budget is set.

Other notes

The officers of your chapter may change before your chapter receives approval for the visit. If this is the case with your chapter, please make sure that the new president, program director, and treasurer are aware of the request and that they plan accordingly.
