PID Award for Innovation in the Process Industries

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this award is to recognize major innovative business processes contributing to the success and viability of an organization in the process industries. This is a best practice award and we are looking for a process that created a change in the business model (for example, the Toyota Production System, or Procter & Gamble for Integrated Works System).

Application Process

Any organization operating in the process industries is eligible for the award. Applicants will self-nominate by submitting a completed application form. Multiple organizations may be selected to be recognized depending on their contribution to the success of process industries.

Evaluation Criteria

  • What extent the organization has experienced breakthrough improvements in marketshare of costs and innovation (e.g., patents)
  • What extent the organization has experienced a change in the business model for the organization and led to changes in business model for the industry

Please submit an application form to the PID Award Committee. Applications are due Feb. 21. The winner will be notified March 7.
