Jucker, professor emeritus at Stanford, dies

James V. Jucker, professor emeritus, died May 4, 2011.

For more than 40 years, Jucker taught industrial engineering and other fields at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., Pontificia Universidade Catolica, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Harvard Business School in Boston, Mass., and Stanford University in Stanford, Calif.

He received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a master's degree in industrial engineering from Montana State University, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Stanford University.
 
From 1972 to 2002, Jucker was an instructor in the Departments of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, and Management Science and Engineering at Stanford.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford.
