Esteemed Georgia Tech professor dies
Former industrial engineering professor and statistician Harrison Wadsworth Jr. died Aug. 3, 2010, in Atlanta. Wadsworth was a highly esteemed statistics professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology for 31 years. He was a member of IIE for 58 years, joining in 1952. After retiring from Georgia Tech in 1991, he founded a quality auditing consulting firm. He wrote and edited several books and received sundry awards throughout his career, including the American Society for Quality’s Distinguished Service Medal.
