HALF-SPACE. The set of points whose coordinates satisfy a linear inequality. 
HAZARD FUNCTION. The limit of the failure rate as the interval width approaches zero.
HOLDING TIME. Time that an item is not operational, so that it may be serviced.
HUNGARIAN METHOD. A combinatorial procedure designed for solving an assignment problem. It is based on a proof by the Hungarian mathematician Egervary.
