When it comes to estimating labor requirements there is no one size that fits all. This workshop addresses the issues and methods involved in developing staffing models for new and anticipated projects that fit the number of full time effective workers to the tasks to be completed.
Staffing models are an extremely valuable planning tool when executives need reliable estimates of human capital needs for current and future reporting periods. Staffing model application results support organizational performance measurement, strategic planning, capital investment planning, operations cost analyses, employment planning, and more. Staffing models easily accommodate long cycle, low repetition work and other activities not readily or economically quantified with traditional work measurement techniques. Staffing models are especially useful when similar functions are performed in multiple locations.
