Predictive Maintenance Technologies
3 Days | 2.1 CEUs

Overview:

Predictive maintenance (PdM) programs are formed to eliminate unnecessary maintenance, improve quality and increase capacity. Most predictive maintenance programs use vibration monitoring as the key component. To be successful, a comprehensive program must include other monitoring and diagnostic techniques. During this five-day course, you will determine which predictive technologies to use and how to apply them in an effective predictive maintenance program.

What You Will Learn:

  • Explain the role of a predictive maintenance (PdM) plan in an effective asset management strategy
  • Describe the theory, application and safety considerations of 5 PdM technologies
    • Vibration Analysis
    • Thermography
    • Tribology (oil analysis)
    • Ultrasonics
    • Motor circuit analysis

  • Explain the importance of operator care (visual inspection) as a component of a PdM program
  • Discuss the value of process parameters and Operating Dynamics Analysis™
  • Map machine dynamics and failure modes
  • Review methods to set up and manage an effective PdM program
  • Build a business case for your PdM program
