Following his award-winning doctoral research at the University of Cincinnati, he became a professor of organizational behavior in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. His book, The Power of Innovation, became an instant need-to-read for CEOs.

Basadur founded The Centre for Research in Applied Creativity in 1981 and began developing a worldwide network of consulting and research associates applying his trademarked Simplexity Thinking™ system internationally with major organizations including eBay, Microsoft, John Deere, Goodrich and many others.

Marci Jackson

Marci Jackson is the director of social solutions at Premier Inc., winner of the 2006 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. In this role, she is responsible for connecting data, best practice knowledge and healthcare providers of more than 2,000 member hospitals through Premier’s knowledge transfer platform, PremierConnect.

Jackson's years as a seasoned consultant in healthcare improvement began as a management engineer in 1996. Subsequently, her 18 years of comprehensive healthcare experience include operational process design, hospital and health system work studies, multi-specialty group performance improvement, cost accounting, project management and revenue cycle analysis.

She has presented at numerous national conferences, university forums and healthcare focus groups covering a range of subjects including national healthcare reform, quality improvement and stabilizing relationships between hospital and insurers. Jackson recently served as president of the Society for Health Systems.

Jean Ann Larson, Ph.D. is president and principal consultant at Jean Ann Larson & Associates. She is an experienced executive who partners with business owners, leaders, executive teams and individuals to help them become more productive while bringing innovation into their businesses and lives through business consulting, facilitation, speaking and executive development and coaching engagements.

Larson has led organizational transformations for more than two and a half decades and also served as a senior executive of two large healthcare organizations. She has a degree in industrial engineering and an international MBA. Larson also has a doctoral degree in organization change from Pepperdine University. She is a member of IIE, a diplomate and past president of the Society for Health Systems as well as a past vice chair of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Cornelia H. Leslie

Cornelia Leslie is an industrial engineer with a keen interest in healthcare improvement. She completed undergraduate work at the Georgia Tech and an MBA at Vanderbilt University. Leslie joined LifePoint in April 2012 at the inception of the HEN grant and has led activities to attain and sustain improvement in a variety of care settings.

With more than 15 years of healthcare experience, Sheri Winsper has successfully provided strategic, operational and clinical leadership through the design and implementation of innovative methodologies in performance improvement, measurement and culture of safety initiatives at the national, integrated health system and individual hospital levels.

At Loyola University Health System, Winsper provides systemwide leadership for quality, patient safety, regulatory affairs, clinical analytics and infection prevention. As vice president of clinical quality at the American Hospital Association and HRET, she lead AHRQ's national improvement collaborative including focus in ESRD and ASC surgical safety improvement. As vice president of performance measurement and reporting, Winsper served the Baylor Health Care System through their Institute for Health Care Research and Improvement. Her role included executive leadership responsibility for value-based purchasing regulatory education, reporting and prioritization of improvement initiatives to provide the best quality of care for patients while minimizing reimbursement impact.

With a true passion for guiding and building quality improvement capacity within organizations, Winsper strives to provide high quality, value and access to care for patients across the nation.
