 Croation Ergonomics Society 

The Croatian Ergonomics Society was established 39 years ago, on 20th May 1974. Over this period the Society mission was to disseminate and exchange ergonomics advances on theoretical, generic and applied areas of ergonomics. The Croatian Ergonomics Society is interconnected with societies, partners and organizations in the field of ergonomics worldwide to sustain scientific and professional level, as well as to promote the implementation of the ergonomics contributions overall.

 Hong Kong Ergonomics Society (HKES) 

The Hong Kong Ergonomics Society (HKES) was established in 2001. The HKES is set out to advance the science of Ergonomics by: 

  • Stimulating ergonomics research and its application in Hong Kong;
  • Promoting ergonomics education through seminars and workshops and;
  • Representing the professional interests of its members.

Since 2000, FISO (by their acronyms in Spanish: Ibero-American Foundation of Occupational Safety and Health) is an institutional alternative oriented to development of research, training and monitoring of occupational health systems and professional risks, which tend to the overall improvement of the working conditions of workers in Latin America and the Iberian peninsula. 

FISO was founded by three work injury insurance firms from Argentina, Chile and Colombia. In 2008, we joined an insurer as adherent member from Peru. 

Our mission is to promote the development of programs and actions in order to create work environments with high standards of health and safety in the Latin American region, promoting the permanent increase of productivity in organizations. 

Our vision is to be an Ibero-American reference in research, education and technical assistance in various areas of safety and occupational and environmental health. 

In these 13 years of work, we have been growing steadily, training more than 60,000 attendees and advising numerous companies in different fields and sizes.

 Polish Ergonomics Society 

Polish Ergonomics Society was founded on May 16, 1977, as an initiative of 214 charter members specializing in various fields of knowledge. It currently consists of 14 field branches, and is a member of IAE. 

PES is an interdisciplinary scientific society working for the development and popularization of ergonomics in Poland. It is the most recognized ergonomics organization in Poland. 

The goals of PES include, above all: 

  • inspiring and supporting scientific, inventive and implementation works etc. in the field of Ergonomics, 
  • helping to implement science of ergonomics into everyday economic and social life practice, 
  • inspiring and supporting education in the field of Ergonomics, 
  • popularizing ergonomics awareness and knowledge in the society, 
  • cooperating with foreign and international organizations aiming at bilateral experience exchange and presentation of Polish ergonomics achievements abroad, 
  • organizing scientific sessions, conferences, symposia, seminars, 
  • initiating press publications, radio and TV coverage for ergonomics issues, 
  • publishing 

PES intentions: 

  • integration of PES society, 
  • closer cooperation of PES with foreign institutions, 
  • evaluation of everyday use products by PES, 
  • establishment of Ergonomics as scientific discipline, 
  • establishment of Ergonomics as an academic faculty, 
  • certification of Euro Ergonomists
 
 

Portuguese Society of Occupational Safety and Hygiene 

 

The Portuguese Society of Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SPOSHO), is a nonprofit association created in 2004. It's main objectives: 

  • To promote a forum for discussion of different domains of Occupational Safety and Hygiene; 
  • To provide the means for the development of educational and information campaigns; 
  • To constitute a space of defence of common interests of practitioners, who carry out their professional activity in this area, supporting initiatives that, at national and international level, defend those interests; 
  • To establish relations with similar scientific societies, both at national and international level.

The SPOSHO is headquartered in the pole of Guimarães of the University of Minho, Portugal, and currently has about 350 members, mostly individual members.

It integrates the European Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (ENSHPO, www.enshpo.eu) together with related organisations from 20 European countries.

 

Inter-Regional (Russian) Ergonomics Association (IREA) 

The Inter-Regional (Russian) Ergonomics Association (IREA) is a nonprofit public organization established in 1986 and targeted at facilitation of communication and collaboration between all specialists in ergonomics and human factors working in different regions of Russia.
