The Rhode Island Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers is committed to providing services, information and outreach to Industrial Engineers living and working in Rhode Island and surrounding areas.
Industrial Engineers provide human resources that significantly impact and improve the state's economy, overall work efficiency, workplace and outdoor environments, and product and service quality.
Our chapter strives to provide programs and events that enhance professional development in the industrial engineering field, for Industrial Engineers at all phases of professional growth.
The Board of Directors for the Rhode Chapter is currently planning the 2006-2007 calendar of events and recruiting members to become involved in planning and recruitment activities within the chapter. Please contact any board member to ask about running for an RI IIE office this fall or to make suggestions for future events in Rhode Island.
We are improving this website and are committed to utilizing this technology to improve communication with current and prospective members. In addition to newsletter postings, we have begun posting meeting notices on-line. Please give us feedback or volunteer to help in our website improvement.
The growth and prosperity of Industrial Engineering in Rhode Island is important not only for those of us in the profession, but key to the prosperity of our private and public companies, governments, educational and health institutions, and non-profit organizations. Industrial Engineers' specialized training leads to their ability to improve systems for people, which improves the quality of life for Rhode Islanders, in all aspects of life.
We look forward to seeing you at our events this year.
Amy Thompson, President
