The Institute of Industrial Engineers student chapter at St. Mary's University focuses on providing various opportunities for its members to learn more about industrial engineering and its diverse application in industries. The vision for the upcoming academic school year is one of robust reinvention and innovation. With a young executive staff, most in their second year of study, the St. Mary’s chapter would like to provide current and new members learning, networking, and career experiences that will bring them closer to developing their own visions as engineers.
Currently, the chapter has trips scheduled to various surrounding production facilities such as the Toyota Production Plant. In collaboration with the Career Center on campus, the St. Mary's chapter also plans to bring in more community professionals to further facilitate student exposure to the work force. Going along with the Marianist heritage at St. Mary’s University, the Institute of Industrial Engineers at St. Mary's University will make service an integral part of the upcoming school year. The chapter will achieve its service goals by participating in projects with Habitat for Humanity.
The chapter at St. Mary’s University is sure to have a successful year, and the members will strive to continue to be an important asset to the St. Mary's community.
