YIELD.  Comparison of casting weight to total weight of metal poured into mold.

YIELD STRENGTH. The stress at which a material exhibits a specified limiting permanent strain.

YOUNG'S MODULUS (E). The Modulus of Elasticity for pure tension with no other stress activity; it is, in most metals, practically the same in compression. Denoted by E it is the tensile (or compressive) stress per unit of linear strain or tensile stress intensity/tensile strain.
