ZONE PRICING. A system of uniform prices quoted on shipments anywhere within a given geographical area.  To the extent that transportation (freight) charges are the primary cause of price differentials, manufacturers can offer "freight equalized" prices which match those quoted by competitors located in (or closer to) the zone.
