Applied Solutions Sessions
The purpose of the Applied Solutions sessions is to present proven solutions from applying industrial and systems engineering principles within industry, healthcare or service companies. Presentations are 35 or 70 minutes each.

Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Sessions (ISERC)
The Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Conference (ISERC) is the new name for the Industrial Engineering Research Conference (IERC). The ISERC, which is part of the IIE Annual Conference and Expo, is a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the industrial and systems engineering research community. Presentations are 15 to 25 minutes.

Doctoral Colloquium

The Council of Industrial Engineering Academic Department Heads (CIEADH) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) requests nominations for the 12th annual IIE Doctoral Colloquium to be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, preceding the IIE Annual Conference and Expo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
This all-day event is designed for doctoral candidates expecting to graduate by spring of 2014. Panels of experts will lead discussions on various topics of interest, including the job search, life in academia and industry, the tenure process, teaching, research, and professional service. Students are required to present their dissertation research in a poster session. A panel will review the posters and award a best poster designation. All posters will remain on display during the conference on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

New Faculty Colloquium

The Council of Industrial Engineering Academic Department Heads (CIEADH) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) will host the 11th annual New Faculty Colloquium to be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, preceding the IIE Annual Conference and Expo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
This all-day event is designed for new faculty, specifically junior faculty within their first three years on a tenure track assistant professor appointment, to provide information that can be useful for successfully navigating the challenges of an academic career and gaining tenure and promotion. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions, network with peers, and interact with senior-level professors.
